  • Easter Lilys. Specialy treated White Ash allows it to bend and hold shape. The entire plant is White Ash. Scroll saw and belt sander are used to shape each petal before bending. The wood will not bend in two directions at the same time. Approximately 3 to 5 days of work. Green stain was used on the stalk and leaves.
  • Pointsettias. The white was made from bendable White Ash sothe leaves and petals bend as they blend with the stem. Each leaf and petal were made in two halves using the grain as the veins. The red was made from Paudauk with a very slight stain for more color. Non-bendable, the leaves stand outward more as the real plant. Leaves are made of White Ash.
  • Wenge Wood Rose made in three concentric pieces so as to get the undercuts. Roughly 5" in diameter, this takes about 2 to 3 days using a hobby drill with multiple burr bits.
