  • Shawn Brown showed his amazing bicycle made from walnut, purpleheart and laminated plywood. He started with a picture of a similar bike in a magazine. He then used SketchUp to develop the plans for his bike. May 2014

  • Dave Rabe showed his Jewelry Box  at the Sep 2015 meeting Show and Tell. It won a first place blue ribbon at the 2015 State Fair.

  • John Olson, a design editor at Wood Magazine, present a program on the restoration, tuning, and use of hand planes. He covered rust removal, sharpening, chip breakers, flattening soles, and knob and tote restoration for both metal and wood bodied planes.   • Leroy Monson brought four items he entered in the State Fair plus others. He earned a ribbon for a segmented bracelet he made. He had a turned walnut bowl, a box elder bowl and a Ipai bowl. He also had a peppermill made from a stump his grandson found and he had a winged mulberry bowl that he said sounded like an aircraft propeller when he was turning it. Very nice work! Sep 2013

  • LeRoy Monson brought a spinning wheel that got a blue ribbon at the State Fair. He also brought a pen and bowl made from engineered wood. Sep 2014
  • Moe Grotheer brought two beautiful segmented bowls. He explained how critical the precise cutting of the angles for each segment is for the bowls to go together properly. He called one bowl “Windows” and his second bowl was the ‘Gospel bowl”. He had a great story to explain these names. Sep 2013
  • Butch McClintic showed a simple tool made from scrap wood and a few nails that he uses to find the center of boards. No need for a ruler or tape measure. Mar 2013
